2023: APC, Opposition Parties Are Useless – Deji Adeyanju
Political activist and former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) member, Deji Adeyanju has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a useless political party.
Adeyanju in a tweet via his Twitter page on Monday also claimed that the country is plagued with the most useless opposition political parties such as the PDP, Labour Party, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNP) and others.
The activist particularly called out the 2023 presidential flagbearer of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, for staying abroad while the Osun State governorship election is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 17.
He described the former vice president as a “very unserious presidential candidate”, with many PDP supporters saying that Atiku should be in the country to campaign for the PDP governorship candidate in the Osun election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
He wrote: “Atiku is still abroad and the Osun election is in 5 days. Very unserious presidential candidate. Useless party in power and Nigeria currently plagued with the most useless opposition political parties.”
Meanwhile, the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) has reacted to Bola Tinubu’s decision to pick the former Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima as his running mate under the All Progressives Congress.
NEF in its reaction stated that the presidential candidate of APC would face three issues for settling for a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2023 presidential election.
The spokesman of NEF, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, in a post on Twitter on Sunday said Christians would walk away following his decision to pick a Muslim as running mate.
Baba-Ahmed further stated that all Muslims will align with the presidential ambition of Tinubu.
He noted that the decision of the former Governor of Lagos State to pick Shettima as the vice-presidential candidate of the APC will not make any difference to his electoral fortunes.
