2023: Deji Adeyanju Reacts As Kwankwaso Picks Running Mate
Political activist, Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the emergence of Pastor Bishop Isaac Idahosa as the running mate to the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso.
Naija News reports that Kwankwaso had earlier announced Idahosa, the presiding Bishop of Illumination Assembly, Lekki Light Centre (LLC), as the party’s vice presidential candidate on Thursday.
The electoral body had directed all parties to upload the details of their candidates on its portal on or before Friday, July 15th.
The former Governor of Kano State announced Idahosa after careful consideration and meticulous screening of more than 20 prospective candidates.
Kwankwaso announced this in a statement released through his media aide, Muyiwa Fatosa, titled, ‘Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso picks Bishop Idahosa as running mate’.
Reacting to the development, Adeyanju stated that the NNPP Presidential candidate chose a weak running mate who cannot win his ward in the 2023 elections.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday, Adeyanju stated that Kwankwaso can’t win the 2023 presidential election with his choice of Idahosa as his running mate.
“Kwankwaso’s VP pick is too weak. His VP candidate can’t deliver his Ward to the ticket. Kwankwaso cannot win,” he wrote.
