2023: Former Lawmaker, Three Others Dump PDP For Labour Party

The former lawmaker who represented Ohanivo Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Linus Okorie has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party.

Okorie dumped the main opposition party alongside three other chieftains of the party for the Labour Party (LP).

The former legislator joined the fast-growing LP in Ebonyi State on Tuesday.

Others who dumped the PDP for LP include a governorship aspirant of the PDP, Eze Emmanuel; a chieftain of the party, Anselem Enigwe; a former Commissioner for Education in the state; and Prince Chibuez Agbo.

Okorie and the other defectors would be hoping to help the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi emerge winner in the 2023 presidential election.

Their defection is coming hours after Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere endorsed Obi for Presidency.

The General overseer of the Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chinyere, Monday, expressed support for the former Governor of Anambra State.

The cleric in a post on his Facebook account described Obi as the Moses God has sent to rescue Nigeria.

He called on Nigerians to cast their votes for the former governor of Anambra State in the forthcoming presidential election.

Apostle Chinyere who is out of the country promised to tell Nigerians why he is supporting Obi when he returns.
