2023: Omo-Agege Joins Delta State Governorship Race
The Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege, has declared his intention to join the Delta Governorship race in the 2023 election.
He made his intention known to his supporters and All Progressives Congress (APC) members at a rally inside the Federal University Of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), Effurun, Warri, on Thursday.
The Senator representing Delta Central senatorial district in the National Assembly said he will be contesting for the governorship seat on the platform of the APC.
He reeled out his stewardship saying that he had decided to step out of his comfort zone to contest the 2023 governorship election so as to extend his good works to the state.
Omo-Agege alleged that the state Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa has marginalized the people of Ndokwa, Isoko, and Ijaw nations.
The federal lawmaker also accused the Okowa-led administration of spending over N2billion on a monthly basis on aides who did nothing, adding that it was time for a change in the state.
The Deputy Senate President described Okowa’s government as a big waste and fraud, boasting that the APC as a party is fully prepared to take over the state from the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP).
