2023 Presidency: Ayade Picks APC Senatorial Form As Backup Plan

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade, who recently expressed his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election, has picked up a senatorial form as a backup plan.

Ayade picked up the senatorial form with receipt number 9498 under the ruling All Progressives Congress party.

According to Punch, Ayade picked up the form on the 10th of May and will be contesting for the northern senatorial district in the state against Orim Martin Ojie who picked up his form on May 6, 2022.

Recall that a group of persons known as sons and daughters of Cross River had earlier purchased the Presidential nomination form of the APC for Ayade.

Ayade had promised to tackle the poor electricity supply if elected as the President of Nigeria in 2023.

The former Peoples Democratic Party chieftain would fall back to the senatorial ticket if he loses out in the presidential primary of the ruling party.

Ayade would be contesting against the likes of Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, National Leader of the ruling party, Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Rivers, Rotimi Amaechi and others.
