2023 Presidency: Omokri Sends Warning To PDP, Reveals ‘Mistake’ That Can Make Tinubu Win
A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has warned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against making a mistake that may cost the party the 2023 presidency.
According to Omokri, choosing the wrong candidate will automatically mean the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) will continue in power beyond 2023.
Specifically, he pointed out that one of the aspirants, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has a great chance of picking the APC presidential ticket and if PDP picks a wrong candidate, the opposition party might just have kissed the 2023 presidency goodbye and given the former Lagos State Governor an easy ride.
He cautioned that the PDP must be careful in choosing its candidate as it would pick its candidate two days before the APC pick its own candidate.
“12 sitting Governors signed Tinubu’s Presidential nomination form. Quite impressive. Quite impressive indeed. I hope PDP is watching. Note that our Presidential primaries will hold 2 days BEFORE the APC hold theirs. If we pick the wrong candidate, Tinubu will win!” Omokri wrote on Twitter.

Without prejudice against other political parties, the 2023 presidential race is widely believed in many quarters to be a straight contest between Nigeria’s two main political parties – APC and PDP and whoever emerges candidate on the platform of either party could be closer to becoming the next Nigerian leader.
