2023 Presidency: Peter Obi Reveals Ways To Tackle Insecurity

Former Governor of Anambra State and Presidential hopeful, Peter Obi has revealed ways to tackle the security challenges facing the country.

Obi stated that if elected as the next President in 2023, he will tackle insecurity by providing jobs for millions of citizens and also provide a conducive environment for businesses to thrive.

The presidential hopeful added that he will lift millions of Nigeria out of poverty by reviving the moribund textile industries and also improving the agricultural sector by providing incentives and other farming implements to farmers.

He made the pledge on Monday when he met with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) delegates in Kaduna State to solicit their support and vote during the forthcoming primary.

The presidential aspirant also pledged to turn Nigeria from a consuming nation to a producing economy, adding that he is the best man to take the country to the next level of development.

He however appealed to the delegates to vote wisely and ensure they elect a presidential candidate that has the capacity to address the numerous socioeconomic and developmental challenges confronting the country.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Enang, has resigned his appointment.

Naija News reports that Enang resigned his appointment in order to pursue his Akwa Ibom State governorship ambition.

In a statement on Monday, Enang’s media aide, Edet Ekpenyong, said the former lawmaker expressed gratitude to President Buhari for the opportunity to serve in his administration.

“The time has come. I intend to contest for the governorship of Akwa Ibom State on the platform of our party, the APC, for which I now seek the nomination, having purchased and submitted the nomination and expression of interest forms.

I hereby formally tender my resignation from office, to pursue a gubernatorial electoral cause,” Enang said.
