2023 Presidency: Reno Omokri Drags Southern Youths For Being More Interested In BBNaija Than Elections
A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, Tuesday slammed the youths from the southern part of the country for investing their time and resources in a popular reality show, Big Brother Naija than the forthcoming presidential elections.
The socio-political activist via his Twitter handle expressed disappointment over the lack of interest of the Southern youths in politics.
According to him, Big Brother Naija brings out 1.3 billion votes from the South while government brings out voters in Northern Nigeria.
He added that the South may be enlightened academically, but the North is more enlightened politically.
He then further urged the youths to learn.
He wrote; “This is what brings out 1.3 billion votes in Southern Nigeria. #BBNaija. But the Government of Naija is what brings out voters in Northern Nigeria. The South may be more enlightened academically, but the North is more enlightened politically. Let’s learn from them!”
Meanwhile, Reno Omokri recently revealed why the Peoples Democratic Party might lose its chance of regaining power in the 2023 general election.
According to the former aide to ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan, the main opposition party will lose if the All Progressives Congress zones its presidential ticket to South West and the PDP zone its ticket to a region with lower voting strength.
Omokri in a post on his Twitter account took out time to analyse how the PDP can lose the electoral process and what it has to do to regain power in the 2023 general election.
The former presidential aide further stated that politics is a game of numbers, not sentiments.
He wrote, “The 2019 election by voter numbers:
NW: 8.2 M
NC: 4.4 M
NE: 4.3 M
SW: 3.8 M
SS: 3:2 M
SE: 2.09 M
“If APC gives their ticket to the SW, PDP will LOSE if it gives its ticket to any zone with a lower voting strength. Politics is a game of numbers, not sentiments!”
