2023: The Things I Will Do If I Become Nigeria’s Next President – Umahi

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has revealed what Nigerians stand to gain if he is allowed to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023.

Naija News reports that the ruling All Progressive Congress is expected to zone its 2023 presidential ticket to the southern region of the country, baring any last-minute decision.

Umahi who recently announced his interest to contest the nation’s highest political position said Nigeria will witness great peace and unity if he is given the chance to become president.

The serving Governor boasts of the infrastructural development in Ebonyi State under his administration, vowing to replicate the same if he emerges next President of Nigeria in 2023.

In his remark about the just concluded convention, Umahi commended President Buhari for ensuring that APC organized a peaceful national convention.

Umahi who addressed journalists shortly after the event held at Eagles Square commended APC stalwarts for their doggedness that brought about the success of the event.

The governor commended the President and the party’s Convention Extraordinary Planning Committee for the maturity shown, which ensured that all differences were sorted out amicably.

Umahi said: “That is the spirit of unity in APC, the party will always resolve their problems amicably, that is why we are one united big family of APC in Nigeria.”

The governor while restating his intent to emerge the President of Nigeria in 2023, assured that going by his achievements in Ebonyi State, Nigeria would be great under his watch.

What I have done in Ebonyi State will be the microcosm of the macrocosm of what Nigerians should expect if God puts me on as the next President of Nigeria.

“If you come to Ebonyi State, you will see the infrastructure, you will see the unity, you will see the future of Nigeria, it is coming from that rising sun of Ebonyi State” Umahi added.
