2023: Veteran Yoruba Actor, Dele Odule Pitches Tent With PDP
Amidst the huge support of his colleagues to the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Dele Odule, has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Naija News reports that Odule joined the opposition party on Tuesday, at an event held in the Ijebu-Ode area of Ogun State.
Recall that a few months ago, veteran actors in the likes of Jide Kosoko, Ogogo, Oga Bello, Faithia Williams, Madam Saje, Saidi Balogun and many others publicly declared support for Tinubu.
However, Dele who seemed different was received into the opposition party by the PDP Chairman in Ogun, Sikirulahi Ogundele, the governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu, and his running mate, Adekunle Akinlade including other chieftains of the party.
The Oru indigene was handed the party’s flag by Ogundele, Adebutu and other PDP chieftains at the occasion.
Speaking, Odule said he would support the PDP and Adebutu in the 2023 governorship election.
Buhari’s Nephew Has Agreed To Return To APC
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari’s nephew, Fatuhu Muhammad has agreed to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This development was confirmed on Tuesday, by the vice presidential candidate of the party, Kashim Shettima.
Recall that Muhammad, who is representing Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Constituency, had announced his defection from the party after failing to win the party’s return ticket.
Shettima disclosed that he had a meeting with Muhammad at his residence in Abuja on Monday Evening, adding that Muhammad agreed to return to the party.
