2023: “We Will Teach APC A Bad Lesson, They Will Lose All Elections From Presidency To Councillorship Levels” – Fintiri
Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has submitted that the All Progressives Congress (APC) should be ready to taste the bitter pill of defeat in the 2023 general elections.
The Governor made the submission on Thursday in Yola, the state capital where he noted that the people of the state have lost confidence in APC and just as they voted for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019, they will do it again in 2023.
Fintiri spoke when he played host to members of the state Forum of Councillors, stressing that the PDP will defeat all other parties including the APC when the election comes.
“We will teach APC a bad lesson, they will lose all elections from Presidency to councillorship levels,” Fintiri said, adding that in the state, he would work harder to earn the people’s confidence.
“I’m prepared to do more as the remaining 16 months is going to be the best,” Fintiri said.
However, the APC has replied the Governor, saying it won’t be a smooth ride for him in a bid to return for a second term in 2023.
The APC state Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Abdullahi said the party has learnt from its 2019 outing and is already putting its house in order through genuine reconciliatory efforts ahead of the national convention scheduled for 2022.
“By the time we are done with the reconciliation processes, APC will regain its lost glory,” Abdullahi said.
In other news, popular Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has revealed why the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar should support his presidential ambition.
According to Edochie, Atiku should support him in becoming Nigeria’s president in 2023, the same way he did for him in 2019.
Edochie in a post on his Instagram account said, “I did it with my full chest, proudly. I did not do it for money. I was not paid to do it. May God punish me if I lie.”
