Anambra: Soludo Gives Ezekwesili Crucial Appointment
Governor-elect of Anambra, Charles Soludo has made an important appointment ahead of his assumption of the number one seat in the South-East State in March.
Naija News gathered that Soludo has appointed the former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili, as the head of his transition committee and also appointed members of the team.
According to Peoples Gazette, the inauguration of the transition committee will hold on January 20, at Agulu Lake (Golden Tulip) Hotel in Akwa, the state capital.
The news platform reported that Soludo has directed Ezekwesili and her team members to develop a transition plan, ensure its implementation for a smooth and successful takeover from Governor Willie Obiano.
It was gathered that the governor-elect also mandated the committee to ensure that the swearing-in ceremony is well planned and not affected by anything.
As of the time of filing this report, the former governor of the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) is yet to make a formal announcement regarding the appointment and members of the committee are still unknown.
Recall that Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was declared winner of the November 6, 2021, Anambra governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
