2023: Two Reasons Tinubu Will Emerge As Nigeria’s President – Jibrin Claims

Former Chairman, House of Representatives’ Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, has amid zoning controversies expressed confidence that former Lagos State Governor, Bola Ahmed Tinubu will emerge as the next President of Nigeria.

Giving his reasons for believing the All Progressive Congress, APC National Leader will scale through the party primaries, zoning hurdles, and eventually win the 2023 presidential election, Jibrin said Tinubu is most qualified and competent.

The politician maintained that Tinubu will surely succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that he is the best candidate from the party come 2023.

Naija News reports that Jibrin said this in a post on his verified Twitter page on Monday.

He noted that just as Buhari was fielded and won the 2015 presidential election, so also will Tinubu beat all oppositions to claim the party’s sole ticket and win the election.

“In 2015, PMB was ahead of all the APC Presidential aspirants. He was fielded and he won! In 2023 race, Alh Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ahead, qualified, competent and CLEARLY has the best chance,” Jibrin tweeted.

“He will be APC candidate. He will win the Presidential race and get the job done, God grace,” the politician added.

Naija News recalls that Tinubu had a few weeks ago made his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election public.

Tinubu declared his interest after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House.

Meanwhile, former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has also declared his interest to join the 2023 presidential race.

Okorocha announced his intention on Wednesday in a letter to the Senate President, which was read by Ahmad Lawan at the senate plenary.
