Skint Barcelona jump into mix for Mbappe transfer and will ‘offer PSG multiple stars in swap deal’ despite £259m bid
BARCELONA have joined the bidding war for Paris Saint-Germain’s wantaway superstar Kylian Mbappe.
PSG are looking to sell Mbappe this summer after he entered the final year of his contract and presented club chiefs with a formal letter confirming he will reject an extension.

That led to the French champions’ new manager Luis Enrique leaving the star striker out of his pre-season squad for the summer tour in Japan and South Korea.
Thus, the France international has been put up for sale by the Parisians, who are desperate not to lose him on a free transfer next year and have informed interested parties.
According to L’Equipe Barca have also expressed interest in the 24-year-old.
In fact, talks between PSG and the Blaugrana have already been scheduled.
However, the cash-strapped Catalan giants can’t compete financially with the rest of the competition.
The Spanish champions also can’t meet Mbappe’s astronomical release clause, which is reportedly in the region of £250million.
Instead, Barcelona are determined to offer a number of their star players in a swap deal.
Nevertheless, Xavi’s side is facing immense competition as rivals Real Madrid continue to pose as favourites.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Tottenham have also been linked.
However, no one has launched a larger bid than Saudi Arabian giants Al-Hilal.
The Saudi Pro League outfit tabled a staggering world-record £259m for Mbappe.
And it’s claimed that the Saudi Pro League side could offer the forward a whopping £11.6m-per-week deal to join.
In fact, Al-Hilal are willing to hand the Frenchman around £603m for one year and let him go in 2024 to finally join Real.
