Buhari Identifies, Thanks Individual For Making APC Win Elections

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, identified and appreciated a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tayo Sowunmi for his efforts at making the party win elections.

The President on the occasion of Sowunmi’s 80th birthday celebration said he appreciates the commitment and effort of the former National Vice Chairman of the party.

The President speaking in a statement on Thursday by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina said he and all party leaders celebrate with the chieftain on his 80th birthday which comes up on 18th February, 2022.

According to Buhari, “Chief Sowunmi’s contribution to the strength and influence of the APC, supporting it to win elections, and stay true to the implementation of its manifesto will continually be appreciated.”

Below is the full statement: “President Muhammadu Buhari warmly felicitates with Chief Tayo Sowunmi, former National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on his 80th birthday, February 18, 2022, joining all members and leaders of the governing party to celebrate with the stalwart.

“President Buhari congratulates the Babanla Adinni of Egbaland and Baba Adinni of Ijemo, in Abeokuta South Local Government, as he turns an octogenarian, with clear legacies of standing up for what is right, from when he was a student, and showing altruism in all leadership positions.

“President Buhari affirms that Chief Sowunmi’s contribution to the strength and influence of the APC, supporting it to win elections, and stay true to the implementation of its manifesto will continually be appreciated.
