‘I Was Mocked For Washing Plates For My Wife’ – Woli Arole
Nigerian comedian, Oluwatoyin Bayegun better known as Woli Arole has said that he was mocked and abused following his recent interview where he revealed he washes plates for his wife.
Woli Arole, Naija News learnt was featured a few days ago on TVC programme ‘Your View’ where he disclosed some of the challenges he faced when courting his wife, adding that he was always excited about washing plates for her.
Woli Arole, in a new post shared on his Instagram handle, revealed some people mocked and others commended him over the statement.
According to the father of one, marriage is about companionship, sacrifice, love, support and help adding that Nigerians holds a wrong perception about marriage, hence the entitlement to insecurity and high-level conversion over the next person.
In his words: “I have got alot of messages from my TVC interview on #Yourview. Even newspapers carried it as a major news @thenationnewspaper. Some people even called my WIFE @yemiielondon. My wife was just laughing. Some people abused me and some commended me.
“See let me make this clear we have alot of wrong mindset especially in this part of the WORLD. Entitlement, Insecurity and high level Coersion over the next PERSON. So I see that it’s was a MINDSET WARFARE and I am excited that God could use me as a VESSEL to talk on such subject.
“Whether you like it or not. Marriage is about Companionship, its about Sacrifice, its about LOVE, its about SUPPORT, it’s about HELP..A lot of people need to reevaluate their lives, relearn, unlearn and learn more.”
