“He Is Surely Tired” – Shehu Sani Mocks Buhari After Statement In Nasarawa State

Public analysts and former Kaduna Central Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to the statement by President Muhamadu Buhari on Thursday in Nasarawa State where he said he couldn’t wait to become a former President.

Naija News reports Buhari made the statement during his visit to the Emir of Lafia where he promised not to stay any longer in office than constitutionally allowed.

It will be recalled as earlier reported by this platform that Buhari reiterated his resolve not to extend his stay in office beyond the constitutionally allowed time.

The President on Thursday vowed to hand over to his successor on May 29, 2023, as stipulated in Nigeria’s constitution.

He said apart from the constitutional requirement, he swore with the Holy Quran and is therefore liable to God to uphold his oath.

Buhari said he was looking forward to becoming a former President.

Reacting to the statement, Shehu Sani took to the micro-blogging site, Twiter to say the statement shows Buhari is really tired.

He wrote: “The President reportedly said he’s eager to become “ex president”….he is surely tired.”

Meanwhile, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Thursday paid a visit to the palace of the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba (Dr) Adekunle Aromolaran.

Naija News reports that the former Lagos State, who was accompanied by Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State, was welcomed by a massive crowd and supporters of the ruling party.

It was gathered that Tinubu’s visit to the monarch’s palace was in furtherance of his consultation ahead of the 2023 presidential election.

Earlier, the APC national leader paid a visit to the palace of Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

On his visit to the monarchs, Tinubu said their support to become President is germane, saying after rallying President Muhammadu Buhari since 2013 for the seat, he is ready to step into his shoes.
