2023 Presidency: Are You God? – Omokri Slams Tinubu For Boasting To Rule Nigeria For Eight Years

Lagos State former Governor and 2023 Presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, has been condemned for declaring that he will rule Nigeria for eight years before he handover to another person.

Naija News understands that the National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, on Friday in Akure, Ondo State capital city, boasted that he will be in power for eight years after succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

Tinubu said he will thereafter hand over to a smart politician with the largest number of followers after his two tenure has ended.

Tinubu made his intentions known during his presidential consultations with traditional rulers in the State, Naija News understands.

Tinubu admitted that the country under the incumbent government led by President Buhari, could not attain her greatness, hence he will turn the country around for good if he becomes the next leader.

He promised not only to ensure massive job opportunities for Nigerian youths but also to establish industries across the country.

In his reaction to Tinubu’s declaration, former presidential aide, Reno Omokri feels the APC leader is boastful of his presidential ambition.

Omokri said Tinubu should understand that no one can predict the future.

According to Omokri, the politician seems to be taking the position of God.

He feels it is unacceptable for Tinubu, a mere mortal to be too sure of what tomorrow will become when he has not even won the presidential seat yet.

Quoting Tinubu in a post on his Twitter account, Omokri wrote, “Tinubu said When I rule for eight years, I will hand over to the smartest and someone with most followers.”

Then he wondered, “Is Tinubu God? See how he talks as if the Presidency is his for 8 years for the taking. Our votes don’t matter? Does he even know who will be alive tomorrow?”
