Imo: I Have Forgiven My Abductors – Uche Nwosu
A former Governorship candidate in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, on Tuesday, stated that he has forgiven those who abducted him during a service in honour of his late mother, Jamaimah Nwosu.
Recall that the Nwosu was ‘abducted’ at St. Peter’s Anglican Church at Eziama-Obaire in Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State last year.
Nwosu, a former Chief of Staff to Rochas Okorocha told his abductors to repent and pray to God for forgiveness.
The All Progressives Congress chieftain while speaking with newsmen called on leaders and stakeholders in the party to desist from utterances that may worsen the crisis in the party.
He said, “I have forgiven all those that abducted me and dehumanised me during the funeral service of my mother. The Bible taught us to forgive, just like Jesus Christ forgave those that crucified him. I have also forgiven them, but they should pray and ask God for forgiveness”.
Nwosu who blamed the crisis rocking the party on the derailment of the Caretaker Committee of the party led by Mai Mala Buni called on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene.
He further stated that the previous delegations of the governor and ministers in ending the crisis within the party have not yielded results.
According to Nwosu, instead of Buni’s committee to reach out to those who built APC, it pitched its tent with a selected few.
Nwosu warned that until those who found the party are brought on board, there would still be a crisis in the party.
Among the founding fathers being recommended by Nwosu for consultation included a former Lagos State and its national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; pioneer national chairman of APC, Chief Bisi Akande; a former governor of Edo State, Chief John Odigie Oyegun; Owelle Rochas Okorocha; Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu; Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige; former Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima; former Zamfara State governor, Abubakar Yari, among others.
