2023: Sowore Mocks Wike Over Presidential Ambition
Political activist and presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore has mocked Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State over the declaration of his presidential ambition.
Naija News reports that Wike declared his intention to contest in the 2023 presidential election under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Sunday in Benue State.
Addressing some PDP members at the Government House, Makurdi, Wike described himself as the best man to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Rivers governor berated some of the PDP presidential aspirants for neglecting the opposition party when their expertise and experience was really needed.
In a veiled reference to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, Wike blamed the two chieftains for the party’s defeat in the 2015 presidential election.
In a reaction via a post on his Facebook page on Monday, Sowore expressed his displeasure at the presidential ambition declaration of the Rivers governor.
The media entrepreneur and member of the African Action Congress (AAC) described Wike as criminally-minded, corrupt, thug and murderer.
“The criminally-minded, corrupt, thug and murderous Nyesom Wike too has declared to become Nigeria’s President, we really can’t continue like this! #SoworeForPresident #RevolutionNow #NotoPDP&APC” he wrote.
