Except for Soy Beans (Soya) and groundnut, the price of commodities is gradually dropping in the Northern part of Nigeria.
The activities of bandit terrorists and kidnappers in our current target market area has greatly affected the prices of goods.
The figures below are subject to the quality of the commodity and the size of bags used in the packaging.
While we make efforts to bring you also prices of foodstuff from other regions, big markets in the country, our focus at the moment still remains on Manigi Market, a popular commodity market in Niger State.
Patronage at the market till now remains poor as a result of the insecurity in the state. There is, however, an improvement in the population when compared to activities in the last few weeks.

Meanwhile, Niger State Governor Abubakar Sani Bello has declared that bandit terrorists have been silenced across twelve local councils of the state.
Naija News recalls that Governor Bello had earlier made a public announcement that terrorist groups including the dreaded Boko Haram, bandits and kidnappers have taken over at least 12 LGAs in the state.
He lamented the situation and assured residents of his government’s commitment to deal with the situation with the help of security agencies.
However, while addressing journalists in Abuja last week, Governor Bello said security has been beefed up in the affected areas and locals would be able to return to their homes soon.
According to him, the presence of security operatives in the affected local government areas have significantly reduced the attacks except for isolated cases in the councils.
Bello said: “I am optimistic that before the rains sets in, the menace would be addressed to enable our people go back to their homes and to their farms.”
