Tinubu And Osinbajo Shake At APC South-West Meeting
The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo on Friday shook hands during the meeting of South-West APC presidential aspirants held in Lagos.
There had been statements online condemning the decision of the Vice President to run for the presidency despite the interest of Tinubu whom some described as Osinbajo’s political father.
The meeting was convened by the former interim chairman of the ruling party Bisi Akande and former Ogun State Governor, Olusegun Osoba.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Others at the meeting include the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, and the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The National Secretary of the APC, Iyiola Omisore, also attended the meeting.
At the time of filing this report, the former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun and Pastor Tunde Bakare had yet to arrive.
The meeting was fixed to foster unity among presidential aspirants in the region and reduce the number of presidential aspirants in the region.
