Nollywood Stars React To Actor Leo Mezie’s Death

Nollywood stars such as Okon Lagos, Walter Anga and others have taken to social media to mourn the demise of their colleague, Leo Mezie

Naija News earlier reported that Nollywood actor, Leonard Chimezie Onyemachi died on 14th  May 2022.

The news was announced by Nollywood actress, Chioma Toplis in a post on her Instagram account as she shared a photo of the actor with a mourning caption; “Actor Leo Mezie is dead. He died on Saturday in Abuja while recovering from a kidney transplant. His corpse has been moved to Umuahia, his hometown. RIP Leo.”

Leonard Chimezie Onyemachi before his demise had featured in the movies alongside prominent Nollywood actors.

He has been battling with kidney disease for a long time and died at the age of 46 on Saturday May 14.

Leo, who had a kidney transplant over four years ago, had another transplant last week but developed complications thereafter.

According to reports, Leo had been in and out of the hospital for a while trying to get back on his feet.

Okon Lagos wrote; ‘He fought hard. Fought well. Rest easy my brother.’

Walter Anga responding saying; ‘He was a fighter who never gave up on till the very end.’

Estherene wrote; ‘You fought really hard. Rest in peace.’

Esther Olushola asked “Why do all this actors and actresses ends up with life threatening illnesses”

Actress Kitan Bukola responded saying ” you get to know abt actors cos they are public figure , lots of people die daily … RIP to the dead ..”
