2023: Bauchi Polytechnic Suspends Female Staff For Sharing Tinubu’s Campaign Materials
Raliya Mohammed Kashim, a staff member at the Bauchi State Polytechnic, has been suspended for her alleged engagement in party politics.
A statement by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Maimako Baraya, disclosed the staff posted videos containing campaign materials of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the gubernatorial candidate of Bauchi State and its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu on her WhatsApp status.
According to him, her postings violated the Public Service Rules, which ban federal officials from participating in partisan politics.
Maimako Baraya added that the institution is a professional entity governed by rules and regulations, thus, will leave no stone unturned in its determination to ensure that all its employees maintain the highest level of professionalism.
He said: “Management determined the action as inappropriate and a clear violation of the Public Service rule 1.4.1.9, which prohibits public officers from engaging in partisan politics,
I wish to state categorically that the institution is a professional entity governed by rules and regulations, having achieved this feat, it shall leave no stone unturned in its determination to ensure that all its employees maintain the highest level of professionalism and respect for the laws of the institution and the State.”
