Napoli Speaks On Selling Osimhen To Either Arsenal, Man United, Newcastle
Italian professional football club, Napoli has expressed double in selling Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen this summer.
Naija News understands that there have been speculations that the English Premier League clubs, the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle are interested in signing the Nigerian footballer to their respective clubs.
However, the club sporting director, Cristiano Giuntoli said during an interview over the weekend that it will take a huge bid for the club to let go of the striker who still has three more years in his current contract with Napoli.
The 23-year-old player was impressive in the last campaign playing for the Partenopei.
Guintoli, however, told journalists that no club presently has tabled an official bid for the Nigerian footballer, but that some clubs have made enquiries over his availability this summer.
“There’s no bid for Osimhen. We’ve received some calls to explore the situation. A huge, really huge bid is needed to sell Osimhen,” Guintoli was quoted as saying by popular football insider, Fabrizio Romano.
Naija News understands that Osimhen netted a total of 14 goals in 29 league appearances for the Blues last season.
Meanwhile, French Ligue 1 champions, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reportedly resolved to let go of about eleven of their players this summer transfer window.
PSG is trying to revamp and bolster its squad ahead of the new season. In that regard, the French club, according to MARCA, is considering offloading the likes of striker Mauro Icardi and the midfield trio of Ander Herrera, Leandro Paredes, and Idrissa Gueye, among others.
The eleven PSG players who have been placed on the transfer list also include defenders like Thilo Kehrer and Abdou Diallo, goalkeepers Sergio Rico and Marcin Bulka, and forward Arnaud Kalimuendo, Naija News understands.
