Transfer: Timo Werner, 14 Others Up For Exit From Chelsea – [See Full list]

English Premier League side, Chelsea is reportedly ready to let go of about fifteen players this summer.

Naija News understands that the Blues are focused on revamping the squad ahead of the new season, hence they are ready to let the likes of striker, Timo Werner lead a clearout.

The UK Mirror reports that despite recent exit from Chelsea, the club still wants more to happen so it can make the best ahead of the next campaign.

Spanish club, Barcelona remain hopeful of signing both Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, Naija News understands.

While defender Levi Colwill is also expected to seek first-team opportunities elsewhere, three more defenders who spent last season on loan – Emerson Palmieri, Ethan Ampadu and Baba Rahman have also been shown the exit door, potentially on permanent exits.

Tino Anjorin is also tipped to quit Chelsea, while Billy Gilmour also looks set for another loan deal away after playing for Norwich City last season.

Tiemoue Bakayoko may exit Stamford Bridge permanently, as he has not played for the club since the 2018 FA Cup final.

The report said further that the likes of Ross Barkley who made just six Premier League appearances last season and Kenedy, who featured three times for Thomas Tuchel’s side after returning from a loan spell at Flamengo, are all up for the possible exit.

Michy Batshuayi scored 14 times on loan at Besiktas last season but will depart the club either on loan or on a permanent basis this summer, while Armando Broja is set to sign for West Ham in a permanent deal after starring for Southampton last term.

There are also doubts over Hakim Ziyech’s future and he has been heavily linked with AC Milan.

Naija News recalls that Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger have both left Chelsea and joined Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively as free agents.

Romelu Lukaku has also returned to Inter Milan on loan for the 2022-23 season.

Timo Werner is said to have expressed concerns earlier about his position at Chelsea, having the forthcoming World Cup games in mind.

The Germany forward according to The Mirror is keen to represent his country in Qatar later this year and could follow Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech in leaving on loan in search of regular first-team football as a starter.
