Police Arrest Four Robbery Suspects In Abuja
Meanwhile, at least four suspected armed robbers were arrested recently by police operatives during a raid at the Dei-Dei timber shed in Abuja.
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Commissioner, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen that detectives made the arrests from the Dei-Dei ‘B’ Division as part of an operation targeting various criminal hideouts, executed under the command’s directives.
According to him, the operation was initiated based on reliable intelligence, which ultimately led to the capture of the four suspects.
The individuals arrested have been identified as Nura Halilu, Salim Mohammed, Saifullahi Usman, and Usman Mohammed.
Naija News reports that firearms and counterfeit currency were seized from the suspects during the raid.
Commissioner Disu indicated that investigations have shown that the hideout was associated with their gang leader, who remains at large, and that it also functioned as a centre for drug trafficking, stolen mobile phones, and other illicit activities.
