Judd Trump reveals plans to win never-before-seen snooker trophy haul after £250,000 UK Championship payday
JUDD TRUMP is eyeing the Snooker Slam this season as he tries to continue dominating the sport like Ronnie O’Sullivan once did.
The world No1 hit 11 centuries across five games before lifting the UK Championship on Sunday night, the fifth Triple Crown success of his career.

Following his hard-fought 10-8 win over Barry Hawkins, Trump, 35, spelt out his plans and ambitions for the rest of this campaign.
Having lifted the inaugural £500,000 Saudi Arabia Masters – branded as the Fourth Major – and the UK, he knows he has a unique chance to do the clean sweep if he succeeds at the Masters and then the Worlds.
Already he has banked more than £1million in earnings from ten events in 2024-25 and that figure could DOUBLE to £2m if he wins all the big ones before next summer.
Trump, who also lifted the Shanghai Masters in July, is on course to set numerous records on the baize and he said: “It would be absolutely incredible to win all four.
“There’s no reason why not. I’m playing well enough. I’m dedicated enough. I’m hungry enough.
“It would be amazing to be the first person to win the four majors now. It would be nice to do a clean sweep.
“In terms of prize money, I have won the three biggest events of the season so far.”
When he won the UK for the first time 13 years ago, a much younger and flashier Trump spent some of his £100,000 winnings on an Audi R8 car.
These days he is much more conservative with his cash and only treated himself to a night out with his family, which included a big meal and some booze.
He will put some of the £250,000 York prize towards Christmas presents for his younger brother Jack, who travels religiously with him all the time.
Trump has time on his side to set the most centuries in the sport, the greatest prize money for one season and maybe overtake O’Sullivan’s mark of 41 ranking titles as he is only 11 behind now.
The Juddernaut said: “I think I’ve dominated for the last 5-6 years. I’ve been clear of anyone else.
“Look at the rankings and how much I’m in front. I’m the only person who has won four, five or six titles every single year.
“People have done it for one season. Not the length of the period that I have done it.
“I’ll keep trying to knock out the ranking events, see where I can get to – maybe 50 or 60. Set a record for that.
“If I keep winning, then I am sure the Triple Crowns will take care of themselves.
Eyeing records
“I don’t think you can try to peak only for one event. I love winning too much. I love to win consistently.
“As I was growing up, you dreamed of getting a Ferrari, nice cars and nice houses. I have got that out of my system. Now it’s about prioritising my career and winning as much as possible.”
Hawkins lost for the fourth time in a Triple Crown final and looking towards the 2025 Masters draw, where he has to play Trump in the first round, he laughed: “Would anyone give me an easier draw?
“I suppose it is a bonus to be in it.
“There’s no stopping Judd really. He has got the hunger, talent and self belief, he is one of a kind.
“He has such a great all-round game now. He’s so tough to beat. He tests every part of your game. Could I meet somebody who is an amateur in a final for once?”
