MANCHESTER UNITED’S U21s game against Rochdale was halted following a medical emergency in the stands.

The incident occurred on Tuesday night as the Red Devils’ youngsters played in the National League Cup.

Neither side had found a breakthrough when the referee stopped play nearly 30 minutes in.

According to the Manchester Evening News, an incident had occurred in the stands.

The game came to a halt as the stricken person received medical attention.

But it appeared there was good news very quickly.

Less than five minutes later, the match got underway again.

It indicated that the medical emergency had been attended to with success.
