Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi Meets Mimiko (Photos)
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Thursday met with the former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko.
Mimiko who ruled the South-West state from 2009 to 2017 announced the meeting in a post on his Twitter account on Thursday.
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain shared pictures from his meeting with the former Governor of Anambra State.
He wrote, “Pleased to receive my brother, H.E. @PeterObi this morning.”
Mimiko, however, did not disclose the detail of his meeting with Obi who is hoping to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari at the end of his tenure in 2023.
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party has been meeting with notable persons in the country in his quest to lead the country in 2023.
Obi has met with the likes of the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, former President, Olusegun Obasanjo and several others.

Obi’s meeting with Mimiko is coming a day after he met with the new Consul-General of the United States in Nigeria, William B. Stevens.
The former Governor while speaking at the meeting said, “It was my pleasure to meet with William B. Stevens, the new Consul-General of the United States in Nigeria. We had constructive discussions and exchanged ideas.
“I also shared with him my vision of a new, secure and united Nigeria in which governance and development will be driven by production.”
