Muslim-Muslim Ticket: They Have Set A Trap For Tinubu – ECWA Scribe
The General Secretary of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Rev. Yunusa Nmadu Jnr has alleged that the Muslim-Muslim ticket fielded by the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a plot for its candidate, Bola Tinubu, to fail the 2023 presidential election.
Nmadu insisted that those who advised Tinubu to nominate the former Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima as his running mate do not mean well for him and they have simply laid a trap for him to fail.
The ECWA scribe said this while speaking to journalists in Kaduna on Tuesday.
He added that the same faith ticket was also an insult to other faith in the land.
Shekarau Set To Dump NNPP For PDP As Atiku Offers ‘Mouth-Watering Position’
The lawmaker representing Kano Central senatorial district, Ibrahim Shekarau is ‘set’ to dump the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to DailyNigerian, Shekarau took the step to join PDP after the presidential candidate of the party, Atiku Abubakar offered him a ‘mouth-watering position’.
Recall that the former Governor of Kano State recently dumped the All Progressives Congress for NNPP.
Shekarau upon his defection to NNPP secured an automatic senatorial ticket to the party.
A further report had it that the NNPP leaders upon sensing Shekarau’s plan to join PDP set up a 3-man delegation.
The delegation comprised the NNPP governorship candidate in Kano State, Abba Kabir-Yusuf, the senatorial candidate of Kano South, Kawu Sumaila and a candidate for House of Representatives, Kabiru Rurum.

Why Some APC Senators Are Supporting Bid To Impeach Buhari – Adamu
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, has said some All Progressives Congress (APC) Senators are supporting the impeachment bid against President Muhammadu Buhari.
Naija News reports that the former Governor of Nasarawa State made this known while speaking on a programme on Trust Television on Monday in Abuja.
Adamu said the APC lawmakers are supporting the bid by the minority caucus of the National Assembly because they did not win their respective primary elections.
The APC chairman said the impeachment bid was an opposition drive, stressing that the APC senators put the blame on the party and the Buhari government.
2023: I Thought Buhari Was Honest, Meant Well For Nigeria – Bwala
A spokesman for the Atiku Campaign Organisation, Daniel Bwala, says he supported the All Progressives Congress (APC) for seven years because of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Bwala stated that he thought the President Buhari was honest and someone who was going to take the country to the next level, hence his decision to back his Presidency.
In a chat with The Punch, Bwala said he thought Buhari‘s honesty was enough to bring about the change the country needs, but he has been disappointed so far.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain added he was confident that the socialist ideology of the APC was going to help through the Social Investment Programmes and Interventionist Policy, but none of the policies have worked after seven years.
Deji Adeyanju Mocks Peter Obi Over Meeting With Wike, Others
Political activist Deji Adeyanju has mocked the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, over his meeting with some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains.
Naija News earlier reported that Obi met with Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State and some PDP stalwarts in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital on Monday.
The meeting is the second time the former Governor of Anambra State would be meeting with Wike after dumping the PDP and declaring his presidential ambition on the LP platform.
Others at the meeting include former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke and former Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwanbo.
Also at the meeting are Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom; Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu; former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke and several others.

In an interview with The Punch on Monday, the spokesman for the campaign organisation, Daniel Bwala, said Tinubu’s experience is only limited to Lagos State.
Bwala said that there is a vast distinction between the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and Tinubu, saying that the two candidates are not on the same level.
He stated that Atiku is known for his experience as a former Vice President, while Tinubu is only known for his past and uncertainty.
Bwala, however, asserted that the country doesn’t need someone like the APC presidential flagbearer that will come and learn on the job.

According to DailyNigerian, the former Governor on the 24th of June travelled to Lagos State to meet with the presidential candidate of the party, Peter Obi.
It was gathered that Shekarau offered to be the running mate of the former Governor of Anambra State.
This is despite Shekarau getting the automatic senatorial ticket of the New Nigeria Peoples Party after dumping the All Progressives Congress.

Speaking on the feud, Momodu suggested a closed door dialogue between the politicians to resolve the rift.
Momodu stated that Atiku should sit down one-on-one without no other person present, discuss with Governor Wike and agree on deliverables, if possible, sign an agreement.
He asserted that the post-national convention crisis in the PDP has shown that Wike is a force to reckon with in the party in the preparations for the 2023 general elections.
2023: Oyinlola Tipped To Be PDP Campaign Council DG
Barring any last-minute politicking, former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, will be named as the Director-General of the presidential campaign council of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Naija News understands that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State was earlier tipped for the role before he was dropped over his closeness to his Rivers counterpart, Nyesom Wike.
In a chat with Vanguard, a PDP chieftain said the South West does not need the Director General appointment, saying that the holder of the position is just an appointee.
He disclosed that the region only needs the position of the National Chairman because he is the chairman of the campaign council.
The PDP leader, however, said if the PDP Presidental candidate, Atiku Abubakar, does not respect the South-West, he will lose massively in the region.
APC Group Protests Muslim-Muslim Ticket, Seeks Shettima’s Replacement

Holding banners and chanting songs, the protesters while walking through the heavy traffic caused by the demonstration called for the resignation of former governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima from the vice presidential candidate position.
Some of the banners had inscriptions saying, ‘Dear Baba Asiwaju, Let Shettima Step Down in Yoruba Interest’, ‘President Buhari and Tinubu should rethink Muslim-Muslim ticket’, and ‘Tinubu, replace Shettima with Christian VP to balance the ticket.’

Shittu, the Director-General of Tinubu-Shettima Coalition for Good Governance, said former Transportation Minister, Rotimi Amaechi, should be happy Wike is being linked to the party as Wike’s joining the APC is an opportunity for the duo to settle scores and reconcile.
In a statement to Naija News on Tuesday, Chukwuemeka Eze described Shittu’s comment as uncomplimentary and disparaging of the personality of the former Transportation Minister.
