Fireboy’s Album ‘Playboy’ Hits The US Billboard Chart

Nigerian Afrobeats artiste, Fireboy’s ten-day-old third studio album has gotten into the U.S billboard Hot 200, becoming his first album on the charts.

The album debuted at a rocking #123 spot on Monday, 15th of August 2022 after selling 9k units. There have been arguments about the album, with some fans saying that ‘Playboy’ is his best album yet while others feel he set a bar really hard to beat with his debut album, “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps” and his subsequent project, “Apollo” . It however makes no much difference as Fireboy just keeps going higher and higher. Manifesting his name on each track, he brought all the heat to the album.

‘Compromise’ with contemporary, Rema already has a total of over a million listens on Spotify with other tracks on the album doing numbers as well. It goes without saying that Fireboy fully understands music and what it entails. Like he said in his song ‘Bandana’ on which he featured rising sensation Asake, ‘Music chose me,’ and with the magic he performs on every project he drops, that is not so difficult to believe. With over 10 million streams on Boomplay and over 20 million streams on Spotify, the album keeps garnering numbers. It may just be a matter of time before another milestone is hit.
