Ice Prince: Five Things You Need To Know About The Embattled Musician

Prior to his arrest by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Lagos State, Ice Prince is one of the lovable musicians in the country.

Naija News reported earlier that the renowned musician was apprehended by the security men for allegedly assaulting its personnel on duty post.

Lagos Police command spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin has confirmed that the musician is in their custody and would be arraigned on Friday (today).

However, while the internet is filled with mixed reactions over the arrest of the singer, Naija News think it is important to know who Ice Prince really is.

Who Is Ice Price?

The popular musician was born in Minna, Niger State. His real name is Panshak Henri Zamani. 

While at age two (2), Ice Prince and his parents relocated to the mining city of Jos, Plateau State where they hail from.

The Zamani family are of the Ngas’ ethnic group in Plateau state Nigeria.

Music Career

Ice Prince according to Wikipedia, began his music career in 1999 by writing rap songs. Subsequently, he started performing them at school in late 2001 and badged into recording them.

The now 35-year-old superstar released his hit single Oleku in 2010 which announced him to the limelight.

Following his achievement in the entertainment industry, Ice Prince is now considered as one of the most successful hip-hop artists in the country.

Ice Prince has in his early stage in music had a close relationship with the likes of Jude and Jesse Abaga popularly known as M. I and Jesse Jagz respectively.

The trio are said to have lived together for a while before they eventually moved to Lagos from Abuja where they came in contact with Djinee who accommodated them as they make more music together doing shows in Lagos and in the Eastern part of the country.

Ice Prince Relationship

The embattled musician has a son with Bimbo Babatunde named Jamal Zamani. Jamal was born on March 1, 2012, Naija News understands.
