Days After EFCC Arrest, Obi Cubana Rewards His Staff |Video

A video of Anambra-born businessman and socialite, Obi Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, rewarding his staff of ten years has surfaced on social media.

Naija News understands that this is coming days after his detention in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Obi Cubana had honored an invite to the anti-graft agency office to answer questions bordering on alleged offences of money laundering and tax fraud.

In the video shared on Instagram, Obi Cubana was pictured rewarding his staff, who have worked tirelessly with the Cubana group for over ten years, a whooping sum of 1 million each, plus a certificate of appreciation.

A friend to the businessman was seen presenting the award to the dedicated staff of the businessman.

According to Obi Cubana, the employees were awarded for their contribution and loyalty to the progress of the company.

Some top Nigerian celebrities also graced the event include Ik Ogbonna, Alexx Ekubo, BBNaija Frodd, BBNaija Uriel, Ycee, etc.

Meanwhile, an armed group identified as ‘Angry Vipers‘ has threatened to attack Obi Cubana.

The group in a viral video released on Thursday accused Obi Cubana of relating with Fulanis such as the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

‘Angry Vipers’ in the video claimed that the businessman and his team allowed the embattled police officer to return to Anambra State.

The voice in the video said, “And Obi Cubana and Co, who are closely working with the killers of our youths, you and your crew made sure that Fulani Abba Kyari returned to Anambra State. You will hear from us.

“From now onwards, we’ll put a stop to any form of tax and revenue in market and road transport such as bikes, vehicles and Sundry within the Biafran land. Henceforth, it shall be bloody. All hell shall be let loose.”
