A Cyst Was Discovered In My Brain When I Was Pregnant – Toyin Lawani
Celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani has said that she was advised to remove her womb due to her health challenges during her last pregnancy.
The mother of three said this via her Instagram page on Tuesday, Naija News reports.
She stated that a cyst was discovered in her brain while she was pregnant with her second daughter Eleora.
The Real Housewives of Lagos Reality TV star also disclosed that she lost her fourth pregnancy which was unplanned.
According to her: “Losing an unborn child can be the most difficult trauma to deal with, cos you would have started bonding and making plans for the future.
“I have always said I wanted to have just two kids. Then my doctor advised me to take out my womb due to the complications I was having.
“I dealt with a lot, multiple fibroid surgeries, arthritis, back and neck pains, side pains, at times I would literally wake up paralyzed. I wear a neck brace daily but when I’m in public I take it off, too many questions. So I went for the third baby again, at least before I did the final surgery.”
She stated further that when she was advised to terminate her pregnancy she refused and decided to travel out of the country to treat her condition.
Her words: “At this time I was already attached and I said ‘no’ and went abroad. They managed the situation till I had the baby. Which is why they said I couldn’t have it naturally like my other kids. Got back on my feet in no time. Months after, my leg and my bones gave way. The pain was too much, then went back again abroad, they said my bones were degenerating due to the pressure.
“At this point, my legs were swollen. I couldn’t work, this was a few days to my 40th birthday but I said nothing and opted for prayer and my late mom.”
Speaking on the loss of her fourth pregnancy, she wrote: “Unfortunately I got stressed and depressed. I started bleeding as usual cos I bleed having all my kids. From day 1 to the due date. So I feel it was normal. But it took a huge turn and I lost it. In the process I’m hearing I need spine surgery, I’m like how old am I?
“Anyways I’ve lost so many things in life. But I felt this to my bones. Because this could have been avoided but I thank God for his mercies upon my life. I would never have shared this cos I hate showing weakness. But never judge a book by its cover. Back and better.”
