He stated, “I think the level of intensity Liverpool displayed against Madrid will be challenging for City. Their midfield looks robust, and Curtis Jones really shone in that match.”
Sutton added that a victory for Liverpool would not only extend their lead over the reigning champions but also mark a significant moment in their season.
“A win that sets them 11 points ahead of this formidable opponent would signify a fantastic week and an even better campaign,” he commented. He is predicting a scoreline of 4-1 in favour of Liverpool.
Also, Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer weighed in on this weekend’s Premier League fixtures, highlighting the Liverpool vs. Manchester City match as a key event.
With City currently in a six-game winless streak, the Reds’ position at the top of the table puts them in a strong position going into the match.
