Luiz departed for the Serie A giants last week, completing a £50million switch.

And he has now been joined by his partner Lehmann, who departs Villa after three years at the club.

She made 74 appearances for the Villans, scoring 14 goals, and was named Supporters’ Player of the Year last season.

Lehmann helped Villa to their highest ever finish in WSL last term as well as reaching the semi-final of both domestic cup competitions.

The Swiss expressed her delight after her transfer was announced, saying: “I’m overjoyed. Juve has a great history – so much so that I have to be honest: I was a bit nervous when I got out of my car for my medical check-up and saw so many fans. But everything is great.”

She wrote on Instagram: “New chapter, couldn’t be more happy, Forza Juve”

Lehmann also paid thanks to Villa, writing: “An emotional goodbye, I wanna say thank you to my team-mates, staff and of course the amazing fans.

“I spent the best three years so far of my career at this amazing club, every single minute I enjoyed.
