Anambra Governorship Debate: You Are A Kidnapper, A Fraudster – Soludo Hits Andy Uba
Two major contenders in the November 6, 2021, Anambra governorship election, Prof. Charles Soludo and Andy Ubah on Monday, took aim at each other at the election debate organized for all candidates.
At the debate organised by Arise News Channel, with the support of a non-governmental organisation, Enough-is-Enough Nigeria, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Soludo labelled his opponent, Uba of All Progressives Congress (APC) as a kidnapper.
Soludo while speaking on his manifesto also slammed Uba, labelling him as a fraud.
Naija News understands that the former governor of the central bank of Nigeria was referring to Uba’s alleged school certificate forgery at the Federal High Court Abuja.
The suit marked no FHC/ABJ/CS/1211/2021, filled against the governorship candidate on October 8, 2021, said that the Form EC9 submitted by Uba to INEC was full of false information.
Speaking further at the event, Soludo explained that Uba allegedly kidnapped a sitting governor during the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, accusing him of forging his Senior School Examination Certificate, SSCE.
Naija News understands that Uba’s Senior School Certificate Examination May/June 1974 Statement of Result purportedly issued by Union Secondary School, Awkunanaw, Enugu, Enugu State, under the Enugu State School System and allegedly bearing the name of Uba Emmanuel Nnamdi with Candidate Number 05465/089 is alleged to be false.
Facts presented against the governorship said that in 1974 when Uba left secondary school, the WAEC (4th respondent) did not conduct Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
“You don’t have a Senior School Certificate Examination result. Did you obtain a Senior School Certificate Examination result Certificate in 1974, did you? It’s a forgery!’ Soludo mentioned this at the debate.
“My Co-debator [Andy Uba] by my right kidnapped a sitting governor,” Soludo added.
Speaking further, Soludo said with his experience in the public and private sector, he has what it takes to lead the people of Anambra.
He said he has served three presidents, including Presidents Obasanjo, Yar’Adua and Buhari.
The former CBN governor said he is throwing his hat into the ring to put all his experiences over the years into serving the people of Anambra.
