‘Anyone Attacking Kwankwaso Does So At Their Electoral Peril’ – Reno Omokri
Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has opined that anyone attacking the New Nigerian Peoples Party,(NNPP) presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso does it at their electoral peril.
This is coming amidst the recent statement of Peter Obi to Kwankwaso after saying the north will not support any candidate from the southeast in 2023.
However, Peter Obi in an interview with Arise TV urged Kwankwaso to grow above ethnicity stating that it is because of such comments that Nigeria is where it is in terms of security, education, and economy.
In a post shared on Twitter Reno said people should not be fooled by the 2019 presidential election result in Kano and underate Kwankwaso.
He said the NNPC presidential candidate was not fully on board with PDP, the reason APC won so convincingly in Kano.
He added that anyone attacking Kwankwaso does so at their electoral peril and even Buhari as popular as he is up North avoids attacking Kwankwaso.
He tweeted: “Don’t let the 2019 Presidential election result in Kano fool you into underrating Kwankwaso. Buhari was on the ballot. And Kwankwaso was not fully on board with PDP. That is why APC won so convincingly in Kano. Anyone attacking him does so at their electoral peril!”
“Kano voters alone had 8% of the total votes cast in the 2019 elections. Think strategically, not emotionally. That is why many people suspect you of being an agent sent to destroy the man. Even Buhari, as popular as he is up North, avoided attacking Kwankwaso.”
