APC Fixes New Date To Unveil Shettima As Vice Presidential Candidate
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has fixed next week Wednesday for the unveiling of the former Governor of Borno State, Senator Kashim Shettima, as the running-mate to the presidential candidate of the party, Bola Tinubu.
Recall that the ruling party had earlier disclosed that the official unveiling of Shettima as its vice presidential candidate has been postponed.
The lawmaker representing Borno Central Senatorial District was meant to be presented to members of the party at the APC National Secretariat today (Thursday).
The Chairman of the APC Press Corp while addressing newsmen in Abuja failed to give any reason for the sudden postponement of the unveiling.
A source told This Day that the postponement of the unveiling was due to the death of a relative of Shettima and he had to travel to Maiduguri.
Another party source said due to the Osun governorship election, the party leadership didn’t want any distraction and also wanted a full house when Shettima would be unveiled.
