APC Group Protests Muslim-Muslim Ticket, Seeks Shettima’s Replacement

Some stakeholders and party stalwarts of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Monday took to the streets of Lagos to protest the Muslim-Muslim ticket fielded by the party.

The demonstrators, under the aegis of the Coalition of APC Stakeholders Network and Southwest Supporters of Tinubu, began their peaceful protest from Shoprite mall in Ikeja to the State House in the Central Business District area of Alausa.

Holding banners and chanting songs, the protesters while walking through the heavy traffic caused by the demonstration called for the resignation of former governor of Borno state, Kashim Shettima from the vice presidential candidate position.

Some of the banners had inscriptions saying, ‘Dear Baba Asiwaju, Let Shettima Step Down in Yoruba Interest’, ‘President Buhari and Tinubu should rethink Muslim-Muslim ticket’, and ‘Tinubu, replace Shettima with Christian VP to balance the ticket.’

Charly Boy Blasts El-Rufai Over Comment On Peter Obi

Veteran Nigerian singer, Charly Boy has replied Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai over his recent comment about plans by some Nigerians to hold a 2 million man march for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

It will be recalled that El-Rufai had mocked the proposed two million march for Peter Obi in Kaduna state.

Taking to his Twitter account, Charlyboy blasted El-Rufai saying the Kaduna Governor should be more worried about the challenges facing his state than about the planned march for Peter Obi.

He tweeted: “Can you just imagine dis clannish clown, El Rufai, wey dey owe workers salary? Kaduna is now the leading state in terrorism. The once upon a time very peaceful state is now a bandit paradise. Many of the victims of the Kaduna train attack dem still hold hostage. The only tin wey dey worry dis clown na the one million March pass by Peter Obi supporters. Nonsense.”(sic)
