The Frenchman spent 22 years at the helm of Arsenal between 1996 and 2018.

Wenger delivered numerous trophies including three Premier League titles and seven FA Cups.

And he was crowned Manager of the Season on no less than three occasions while also being the only boss to oversee an unbeaten campaign.

As such, Wenger attracted plenty of interest from rival clubs – with former player Aaron Ramsey spilling the beans on “lucrative offers” last month.

But the tactician always remained loyal to Arsenal, even when his own fans demanded his exit.

And Wenger has now revealed just how many times he turned down a lucrative move to Spain.

Real Madrid were always long-term admirers and thought Wenger would eventually make the move to the Bernabeu.

The veteran, who now works for Fifa, claims the capital giants approached him THREE times during his Arsenal career.

But Real weren’t the only side with their eyes on Wenger.

That’s because rivals Barcelona also made a cheeky attempt to snap up the Frenchman.

Wenger refused to say when the various approaches occurred.

But he happily confirmed to beIN Sports that he did have the chance to leave Arsenal for greater glory on four separate occasions.

When asked how many times he could have left for either club, Wenger said: “Real Madrid, two or three times.

“And Barcelona, yes once.”

Wenger’s revelation led to plenty of praise from fans.

One said: “Both Arsene and Thierry (Henry) had Arsenal flow in their veins.”

Another declared: “Arsenal legend, no need for regrets.”

One noted: “Real love for Arsenal, GOAT manager.”
