Ayu Says Atiku Is A Unifier That Will Liberate Nigerians
The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Iyorchia Ayu says the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar is a unifier and the only person that can liberate Nigerians from the problems facing the country.
He stated this at a mega rally on Monday to welcome the PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar home for the first time after winning the party’s primaries in Ribadu square, Yola.
He said “with the number of people across various parties I see here today, I have no doubt that our party will reclaim power in Nigeria come 2023”.
Noting that Abubakar has what it takes to lead Nigeria, “even though we are here receiving decampees, the turn out here today is very impressive.”
While handling over the decampees to Governor Ahamdu Umuru Finitiri, he urged the Governor to give them equal playing ground.
Speaking on behalf of the decampees, the member representing Fufore/ Gurin constituency, Mr. Shaibu Babas said “I, my colleagues and our hundreds of supporters dumped our party to join force with Governor Finitiri because we have seen the transformation he has brought to Adamawa.”
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate in his remark, said “In my about 30 years in politics, Adamawa people have always supported me and am so confident that you will support me.”
While commending the good works of Finitiri he urged them to also give him support and vote him back for the second time”
“Since my emergence as the party’s presidential candidate I did not come home to say thank you because I have go round to sort out things, this is not a campaign but a welcome rally to say thank you”
” We will be working together to ensure victory for our party at all levels.”
In his remark at the rally, Governor Finitiri said Adamawa will remain a PDP state and “we will give PDP block vote come 2023.”
Dignitaries that the occasion includes the PDP’s vice Presidential candidate Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, former vice president Namadi Sambo, former governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa state, Dino Melaye, and some former and serving national Assembly members among others.
