Bad Leadership Responsible For Rising Insecurity In Nigeria – Saraki

A former Senate President and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bukola Saraki on Thursday alleged that bad leadership was responsible for the rising insecurity in Nigeria.

The aspirant made the allegation while interacting with PDP delegates in Jalingo the Taraba state capital.

Saraki noted that Nigerians have been divided due to bad leadership, the sectionalism been demonstrated in the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari led All Progressives Congress (APC) and has created room for the continuous insecurity in the country.

He said the security agencies were no longer working in the manner to tackle the rising problem, adding that Nigeria needs to be rescued from the situation.

“We can not have the same type of leaders tomorrow as we have today. 2023 is about the future of this country and our children.

“This country has been so divided and we can’t afford to use sentiments to vote. We must do it right for the sake of those who died for no fault of theirs

“We have been through so much in this country and we must go for competence to rescue Nigeria.

“We can not afford to witness bad government like what we have today. This bad government has divided Nigerians and has created room for strangers to penetrate our homes and perpetrate crime.

“The rising insecurity we are witnessing is due to the bad government we have today in this country and we must have to be out for the future of our children,” Saraki noted.

The aspirant stated that Nigerians need a President that understands the economy and has a vision for investment.

He said, his Agriculture revolution in Kwara remains the largest livestock producer in Nigeria and would demonstrate same to boost the economy of Nigeria.

“I will create investment in mining and agriculture. We must use technology to end banditry.

“We need a team player as a President. I was persecuted as Senate President by the Executive but I was able to overcome because I am a team player and my colleagues stood with me,” Saraki assured.

Governor Darius Ishaku while responding, described Saraki as a competent and courageous man Nigeria needs as president to fix insecurity and bring investment.

Ishaku said, Saraki has good credentials to lead Nigeria and urged the delegates and Nigerians to vote for competence.
