Banky W Reacts After Winning PDP Primaries For Eti-Osa Constituency In Lagos
Nigerian singer, Ulubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W has reacted after his victory at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for the Eti-Osa constituency in Lagos State.
Banky W in his reaction said he is overwhelmed by the support he has gotten so far and described the primary election as free and fair.
The singer appreciated the party, the PDP leadership and all fans and supporters for believing in him.
He spoke after Naija News earlier reported that the popular singer won in a landslide victory during the primaries for Eti-Osa constituency seat in the House of Representatives to secure the PDP ticket for the 2023 general elections.
He won 28 out of the 31 votes from the delegates at the PDP primaries to defeat Mr Sam Aiboni, who polled just three votes.
Speaking after the primary election results were declared, Banky W promised not to disappoint the people.
“I am overwhelmed by the support of my constituency, the people, the ward chairmen, the leaders and the chieftains of the party.
“I feel the support even from the grassroot, honestly, I can’t be happier than I am now,” he said.
He promised to serve and be transparent in his representation, urging them to support him to win the main election during the 2023 polls.
“The real work begins now, the primaries is just the start and thankfully, we have the grace of God with us; we move,” he added.
