Club Shooting: Police To Invite Burna Boy For Interrogation
The Lagos State police command reportedly has plans to invite Grammy Award winner, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy for interrogation over the alleged shooting of a man by his police escorts in a club.
There have been reports that five police escorts were assigned to the singer from the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
The incident happened on the 8th of June, at Club Cubana on Victoria Island.
Naija News gathered that detectives are working on tracing the whereabouts of the singer, with claims revealing that he is not in the country.
Sources in the police noted that Burna Boy has allegedly fled the country immediately after the incident to avoid questioning.
This news platform had earlier reported that the singer has reportedly jetted out of Nigeria to Spain after his escorts allegedly shot two people in Lagos State.
The source said, “Already, five police escorts attached to the singer have since been arrested and are being detained at the Lagos State Police Command, Ikeja.”
A police source that spoke with Vanguard noted that the escorts involved in the incident didn’t report the incident to the police.
The source disclosed that the incident was reported to the police by eyewitnesses.
