Davido Donates ₦250m To 292 Orphanages Across Nigeria

Award-winning Nigerian singer, Davido has revealed beneficiaries of his promise to disburse ₦250m to 292 orphanages across the country.

Recall that Davido days before his birthday had asked his friend and colleagues to donate one million Naira each.

The singer within hours received ₦200m from his friends and colleagues in the industry to the amazement of social media users.

Davido thereafter added ₦50m to the initial ₦200m which was donated by his friends and disclosed that he would donate it to orphanages in Nigeria.

The singer while sharing the update on his Twitter account on Tuesday displayed receipt of successful transactions to 292 orphanages across Nigeria.

The statement reads in part, “I bring you an update as promised. Since its inauguration, the members of the committee have worked tirelessly to ensure that they collate the names and information of the documented and verified orphanages.

“So far, the total of N250m has been disbursed to 292 orphanages.

“I thought it wise to give you my loyal fans, friends and family an update in this regard.

“Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Thank you for your continuous support and prayer.

“Always remember, we rise by lifting others.”
