Embarrassing moment snooker star Shaun Murphy throws ‘worst darts ever’ after claiming to have hit nine-darter
FANS mocked Shaun Murphy after his horror attempt at a nine-darter.
The 2005 snooker world champion was competing in the “Paddy Power Challenge” on Wednesday afternoon when the embarrassing moment took place.

But his skills in the Paddy Power Challenge did not suggest he has darting prowess[/caption]

Murphy, 42, was attempting a 147 across the two-hour event alongside snooker legend Mark Williams.
Meanwhile in the same room, Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphies were trying to hit nine-darters.
And elsewhere, golfers Matt Wallace and Ross Fisher were attempting hole-in-ones.
After reaching the brown and missing a golden opportunity, Murphy eventually became the only player to achieve his respective feat when he made a 147 with less than 15 minutes remaining.
But not before he made something of a fool of himself on the oche.
Murphy has previously claimed he is the only person in history to have achieved a 147, nine-darter and hole-in-one.
Yet a nine-darter did not seem within his remit when he was given the chance at the end of the Paddy Power Challenge.
His first three darts were all miles away from the 20 – with one not even making it onto the board.

He then did produce one 20, but could not replicate with his subsequent throws.
Van Gerwen poked fun at him by saying: “Was it 301 or 101?”
And fans on social media are convinced Murphy’s nine-dart claim was a lie.
One said: “We all knew he’d never hit a nine-darter but this is the worst throwing I’ve ever seen .”
While another added: “Nine-darter in 101 and hole in one in mini golf more like .”
A third replied: “He hit the number 9. Does he think that what a nine darter is?”
And a fourth responded: “If he’s claiming to have hit a nine-darter then I’ve hit a 147 in snooker…..”
