Femi Kuti Reacts To Death Of Orlando Julius
Afrobeat musician, Femi Kuti on Thursday reacted to the death of veteran musician, Orlando Julius.
Naija News had earlier reported that the saxophonist, who hailed from Ijebu Ijesha in Osun state, died at 3 am on Friday at the age of 79 years.
Femi Kuti in a post on his Instagram account described the late veteran Nigerian Highlife musician as a great musician and a great saxophonist.
Femi Kuti offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
Kuti who posted the picture of Orlando wrote, “Just heard of the passing of Mr Orlando Julius, RIP Sir, condolences to his family, praying for strength and comfort for his family at this difficult time.
“He was a great musician and great saxophonist.”
Orlando Julius was a veteran internationally recognised Highlife singer.
He will be remembered for many of his hits songs among which is Jagua Nana, and Ololufe, to mention a few.
