A video of award-winning singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, talking about his impact on the music industry and how people he helped keeps him afloat has surfaced on social media
Naija News reports that Davido Music Worldwide boss on Wednesday on social media account called on people who have been impacted with his music to raise the sum of 100 million Naira for him to clear his Rolls Royce at the port.
Davido in the post has asked his friends and followers to donate one million naira each.
The singer hours after he posted his message, dropped his bank account, then wrote, “If u know I’ve given you a hit song .. send me money …. una know una selves oo.”
Hours after the tweet, Davido’s friends and fans have responded as he has amassed a whopping sum of one hundred and fourty million naira so far. The singer has been overwhelmed with the massive show of love and support.
In the now-viral video, Davido could be seen talking about how people he helped have continued to help him stay afloat.
“It’s not me, everyone I have to help are keeping me afloat, that is why you notice that all of the people that don’t help people or give back to people, going up is sweet but their coming down will be bad. For me, when I will be coming down, they’d be pushing me back up.”
As of the time of filing this report, the talented singer has hit more than 140 million in his Wema account.
Davido took to his Twitter account to share a screenshot of the donation so far.
